Student Information
WAIMR offers a range of opportunities for students to further their careers by conducting research in the biomedical area. We currently host in excess of 50 postgraduate students. Students are normally enrolled through The University of Western Australia. All support services offered to students on the main university campus are available to students at WAIMR.
We provide opportunities for students enrolled in:
- Bachelor of Science with Honours (B.Sc. Hons.)
- Bachelor of Medical Science (B.Med.Sci.)
- Relevant Masters Programs
- PhD Studies

Students can apply for a postgraduate scholarship from the UWA Scholarships Office.
The National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) also offers scholarships.
